Last month I had a dream after creating my latest mix “Life Line” I finally had laid my head down at 1:30am. By about 3:15a I jilted out of a dream that felt less like sleep and more like being pulled into the center of sound itself. I was floating inside the music I had just created, each line in the track became a lifeline, stretching out like veins of energy. I wasn’t alone, but I wasn’t together either. I was suspended in a world where sound was both my companion and my guide. There was people around me but they were blurred almost like I was in a club setting but also in my own bubble of energy.
The dream was painted in shades of black and deep magenta colors that felt like mysterious, transformational, or like a rebirthing. In my right hand, I felt a grounding force even after I woke up, as if the act of mixing itself was pulling spirit down into reality through my hands.
For me, this dream spoke to the way music functions as a portal
A lifeline connecting me to the unseen.
A collective journey where we float together, yet we all experience it uniquely.
A grounding practice , the mix as my way of offering something higher to the world.
This month’s mix is dedicated to that dream. It’s about moving through darkness, finding color inside the void, and using rhythm as a way to breathe when words aren’t enough. Each track is stitched into the vision I had, a reminder that sound is more than entertainment it’s survival, spirit, and story.

As you listen, imagine yourself floating in the dream with me — surrounded yet alone, lifted by moods & melodies. Feel the Fine Line between this realm and the ether…
below is a video my cousin, Brianna Abdullah of ABlast Films directed of me skating/hooping to some of the mix with my daughter in view. We were just having some fun and I was able to create some fun edits. Don’t forget to let your inner child out.
